IDWeek is proud to offer several awards acknowledging distinguished, quality scientific research presented at IDWeek. IDWeek will distribute these awards to support attendance and travel needs of candidates whose abstracts have been selected and who are scheduled to present their work at the IDWeek meeting.
Only regular abstract submissions (not late breaker abstracts) are eligible. Your abstract must be submitted by the submission deadline to be eligible for the awards listed below. Apply for the award during the online abstract submission process, you cannot apply after the deadline. The requirements described here must be met to qualify. Only presenting authors are eligible for awards, and the presenting author may apply for more than one. These awards are to support travel to IDWeek. If IDWeek is virtual, or travel is not required for the presenter, these awards will not include a monetary component.
IDWeek Program Committee Choice Awards
The top four abstracts overall will be selected for an award of $2,500 each to support travel to IDWeek. The IDWeek Program Committee will select the recipients based on outstanding scientific research. These awards will be selected from all accepted abstracts. Submitters do not need to apply for this award.
IDWeek Award for Top Abstracts Submitted in Diagnostics
The top abstracts submitted in Category D. Diagnostics (either as the primary or secondary category) will be selected for an award of $2,000 each to support travel to IDWeek. The IDWeek Program Committee will select the recipients based on outstanding scientific research in the field of diagnostics.

Investigator Awards
The Investigator Awards are intended to recognize the work of investigators in practice for less than 15 years, whose submitted abstracts are accepted for presentation at IDWeek. The award will be based on the quality of the scientific merit of the nominee’s accepted abstract. The presenting author will receive an award in the amount of $1,250 to support travel to IDWeek.

In addition to six $1,500 grants to international investigators with accepted abstracts, each IDWeek sponsoring society will choose one outstanding abstract from a member in their specialty.
