With so many common issues and challenges cutting across our four disciplines, IDWeek provides an opportunity to learn from each other’s knowledge, experience and expertise, for the improvement of patient care and public health.
This is an inclusive meeting that offers access to internationally recognized leaders in the field and the opportunity to network with the most highly respected health professionals in infectious diseases, including HIV.

Represents physicians, scientists and other health care professionals who specialize in infectious diseases. IDSA’s purpose is to improve the health of individuals, communities, and society by promoting excellence in patient care, education, research, public health, and prevention relating to infectious diseases.
The Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA)
A professional society representing physicians and other healthcare professionals around the world with expertise in healthcare epidemiology and infection prevention and control. SHEA’s mission is to prevent and control healthcare-associated infections and advance the field of healthcare epidemiology.
The HIV Medicine Association (HIVMA)
Promotes quality in HIV care by advocating policies and supporting programs that ensure a comprehensive and humane response to the AIDS pandemic informed by science and social justice. HIVMA represents the diversity of medical subspecialties practicing HIV medicine—including internal medicine, family practice, infectious diseases, oncology, and obstetrics-gynecology.
The Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (PIDS)
Represents professionals dedicated to the treatment, control and eradication of infectious diseases affecting children. Membership includes physicians and doctoral-level scientists who are involved in clinical practice, research, teaching and/or administration.
The Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP)
Advances the professional, educational, and research interests of pharmacists and other allied health care professionals in the infectious diseases area.

IDSA Foundation
The Foundation supports awards, fellowships, and scholarships to enhance the educational development of young investigators, fellows, scientists, and clinicians focusing on infectious diseases.
SHEA Education and Research Foundation
The SHEA Education & Research Foundation, is dedicated to advancing the field of healthcare epidemiology, infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship through education and research.
PIDS Education and Research Foundation
The Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society Education and Research Foundation supports scientific and educational activities in the field of pediatric infectious diseases.
