General Information

IDWeek 2025 will be held October 19-22, 2025 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. IDWeek 2025 will be a hybrid conference.

IDWeek is dedicated to providing a harassment-free event experience for everyone regardless of color, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion. IDWeek does not tolerate harassment or bullying of conference participants, staff clients or any affiliate.

Masks are recommended but not required for anyone that prefers to wear one for their own personal safety and comfort. Masking will be at each attendee’s personal discretion. Attendees should bring their own masks. IDWeek asks attendees to respect participants’ personal choice on masking.

The IDWeek masking policy is subject to change. IDWeek will continue to keep attendees updated on any adjustments as the conference approaches and as more information becomes available.

Nursing pods are available in the Georgia World Congress Center. These pods are located in Building A right across from the Sidney Marcus Auditorium and on the fourth floor in Building B. There will also be a dedicated nursing lounge for IDWeek Attendees. More information about the IDWeek lounge will be coming soon.

Childcare will be available for registered IDWeek 2025 attendees. Information on how to sign up for childcare can be found here.

The BugHub is the heart of IDWeek! This is a central space where attendees can gather, network and take advantage of different IDWeek and partner society opportunities. Learn more about what’s in the BugHub here.

General Information

IDWeek 2023 will be held in Boston, MA, October 11-15, 2023 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. IDWeek 2023 will be a hybrid conference. If you decide to join virtually you will have access to all content until March 31, 2024. Pricing for in-person and virtual are the same.

IDWeek will have a nursing mothers’ lounge in the convention center. Location(s) will be posted here once they are available.

Childcare:

Childcare will be available for registered IDWeek 2023 attendees. Details coming soon!

 

The IDWeek HQ Office can be found in Room 156 of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

The Newsroom can be found in Room 158 and the Press Conference Room can be found in 159.

The IDWeek Opening Reception, the BugBash, will be held October 19, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. ET in Hall D! Join your colleagues as we kickoff IDWeek 2022.

Join us for Coffee and Lunch on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the IDWeek Exhibit Hall found in Hall A (while supplies last):

  • Premier Coffee Break: 10 – 10:30 a.m. ET
  • Lunch: 11:45 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. ET

The Speaker Ready Room will be in BugHub B (Salon GHI) near the Grand Lobby. The hours are:

Registration & Housing

Members and nonmembers may register for one of the categories below if they meet the following criteria:

  • In training – if you are currently a fellow in a training program
  • Resident – if you are a health care provider currently enrolled in a residency program
  • Student – any student who has not yet started their residency

*In all cases, some proof of status in the program is required. This includes, but is not limited to, a student ID, a letter/email from the institution, any other documentation listing status, etc.

Yes, we will have on-site registration available.  

IDWeek main registration will be located in Building B Registration Hall of the Georgia World Congress Center.

Guest registration only includes admission to the exhibit hall. It does not include access to live or streamed sessions or CE credits. Guests must follow the same policies as attendees.

Available hotels can be viewed during the registration process. 

IDWeek will have shuttles from select official hotels, more information coming soon.

If you need to switch your membership type or have other membership issues, please contact each society directly.

Registration prices will increase after Friday, Sept. 19. On-site rates will apply from Saturday, Sept. 20 to Oct. 22. The last day to register virtually with on-demand access will be Sunday, Nov. 30.

As a nonmember, you may register for one of the categories below if you meet the following:
  • In-training – If you are currently a fellow in a training program
  • Resident – If you are an HCP currently enrolled in a residency program
  • Student – any student

In all cases, proof of status in the program is required. This includes, but is not limited to student ID, a letter/email from the institution, any other documentation listing status, etc.

The virtual COVID-19 track is limited to the 12 COVID-19 sessions being presented at IDWeek 2022 as well as the industry supported IDWeek CE Affiliated Events and other IDWeek Affiliated Events. This option is only available virtually and is not available to in-person attendees. IDWeek is offering these sessions at no-charge. These registrants will have access to abstracts but will not have access to any other non-COVID content.

Program, Education & Continuing Education

The full program is available online through the IDWeek 2022 Interactive Program where you can find session and speaker details, abstract information and more. Session live streaming will be available through the Interactive Program as well.

Access the on-demand content through the IDWeek app or online at idweekorgdev.wpenginepowered.com/login through March 31, 2023. Access will be free for all scientific attendees.

Scientific sessions will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. IDWeek has made every effort to assign sessions to the appropriate room. Attendance is on a first-come, first-served basis and we ask that attendees use all available seating before standing. We apologize in advance if attendance exceeds available seating.

During live sessions you will be able to ask questions using the chat feature within the virtual program. Moderators will be looking for questions from the audience and will ask speakers as many as they can accommodate.

You can download a certificate of attendance via the CE evaluation site.

IDWeek will offer CME/CNE/CPE/MOC credit. Check the individual session listing in the IDWeek Interactive Program for more details. Statements of credit must be claimed online after the meeting. Attendees will be required to complete a short evaluation for every session for which credit is claimed. The deadline to claim credit is April 24, 2023.  Attendees must attend each selected session in its entirety to receive CME/CNE/CPE/MOC credit. Partial credit is not available.

To claim CPE in-person session credit the deadline is Dec. 22, 2022.

The call for Session Suggestions for 2023 will open in October.

Get the most out of the meeting by downloading the official IDWeek App. Search the Google Play Store on Android Devices or the App Store on Apple Devices for “IDWeek” and download the app. Login with the email address you used to register for the meeting and your confirmation ID number, both of which can be found in your registration confirmation.

The app will have all the most up to date details on sessions, presentations, and speakers. You can use it to participate in audience response, create a schedule, read abstracts and view posters, browse exhibitors and find helpful meeting information.

Program, Education and Continuing Education Credits (CE)

Yes, captioning is available at IDWeek.

All streamed sessions will be captioned.

Instructions on viewing the on-demand sessions can be found in the Interactive Program. The Interactive Program will be available late-May. Once available, click on the “How-to Guides” option found on the left-hand navigation.

Abstracts

Abstracts are viewable in the IDWeek Interactive Program (coming late-May). Visit the Abstract Page for-release dates.

Abstracts will also be published in Open Forum Infectious Diseases in late 2025. Through OFID, the abstract text and images are available to all, not just IDWeek attendees.

Oral presentations will be available on demand until March 31, 2026.
